  1. For best quality when I capture mini dv with my DVD authoring program (studio 8) should I capture it in avi or mpeg2? What is the best format for then burn to it on to a DVDR?

Do you know which is the best program (even if it is expensive) for authoring? Which one keeps tha best quality and has the option for you to make subtitles?

    Thanks

Capture and then edit in DV AVI. Save the edited file as a DV avi too, then encode to DVD compliant mpeg-2 with TmpGenc or CCE.
