i have a video clip that has 2 languages in it. i can hear english in the background and another language in the front talking over the english. i used virtual dub and extracted the audio to a wave file. i then loaded the wav file into audacity. i think some recordings have the vocals at the center of the audio. so i inverted the audio. this did get rid of the overwhelming foreign language but also got rid of alot of the english. does any body know of a way i can get rid of the one language and keep the english ? any help greatly appreciated.

Do not forget to check and see if the video two channels. Load the original into Gold Wave. If it has two channels, play each one to see if the both languages appear on both tracks. If not you only need to delete the audio from the trafck you do not want, and copy and mix the track you want to the deleted track.
    Hello.

    thanx for the reply
i checked and both channels have the foreign language. i thought maybe with the man interpretting the english and talking on the audio channels i might be able to delete his voice by the hertz or frequency of his voice. but i have no idea how to do this. any more ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance.
