Extracting audio from a 3gp file

A friend of mine captured an odd sound/scream on a video shot from her phone. I wanted to try to extract the audio and clean up the noise/maybe enhance the sound a bit, can someone give me sort sort of guide for doing this? I guess I could sue Audacity, but I haven't even found a program to extract audio from a 3gp yet.

I guess I'd just like to know the best way of doing this without trying 15 programs until I find a working one.

Are there any decent guides for Audacity that will show me what I'm trying to do? I've only used it once and ended up making everything sound like a chipmunk somehow.
