  1. I am creating the scene selection motion menu using DVD lab.

I want to make "Button 1" alwasy the first button to be highlighted when it go the the menu.

I already set the button I want to be first highlighted as button 1 but it alwsay just redom use a button to highlight when we first go to the menu.

Also, if I use force button select under the menu playback, then if i move to button 2, within 1 or 2 sec it will automatically go back to button 1 which makes impossible to select.

If anyone knows how to solve the problem please let me know.

By the way, it is ok if I do not make motion menu.

    Thanks

Set Force activation of button 1, not force selection. You can set the timeout in sec for the default buton. If you set the timeout to say 30 sec, then it will go activate button 1 after 30 sec of inactivity.

Read the help files in DVD-Lab, it explains everything in detail.

  3. still doesn't work.

it only happens in "motion menu"!

i want the highlighted button to be Button 1 whenever first go to the menu.

use the "force-select" function in "menu playback", then I cannot select anyother button except the "force-select" button (ie button 1).

If I do not put the m2v file in the menu, then the menu is fine and will go to button one whenever i go to the menu.

But once I put the m2v file in, then it randomly select one button and highlight that button.

I am not sure if this is a "BUG" in the program. please let me know, if it is a bug, then I can burn the DVD. But if it is not, please let me know what did I do wrong.

    Thanks

  4. It looks like a bug in DVDlab, but you can do it manualy.

Method 1: open the VOB with the menu in VOBedit, check the "buttons"-box, search the nav-packs and set the "default button nr." to 1.

Quite complicated, method 2 is easier:
open the menu-PGC in IFOedit and add this pre-command:

    (SetHL_BTNN) Set Button Nr: 1 [56 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 ]

A step-by-step guide for such actions is on my website, here:
