Hi,
I had problems with pinnacle studio 8.10.x.x upgrade so Pinnacle said to undelete then run a register cleaner of theirs and install the 8.4.x that came off the shelf.
I did so and now I get this error msg when trying to open PS 8:
"There is a problem with studio 8 license installation. Please reinstall to resolve this problem"
I reinstalled and had the same results. I then did it using their "wizard" then I went through the whole undelete process again and still the same msg. I can't find the manuals since we moved so I don't know if the serial # I used on the disk cover is the same as the # on the back of the book.
Does anyone know what can be done or do I wait until Pinnacle support gets around to it?
Is there any other info I need to put here?
OT here but would using an old voodoo banshee 16mb video card mess up capturing as in frame loss? I capture from a panasonic DV through pinnacle's firewire card. The frame loss shows up in the created AVI file.

1- Go to the Pinnacle web site http://www.pinnaclesys.com/
2- Click on 'Support', then click on 'Studio version 8' in the Home Video column
3- Under 'Software updates and drivers', click on 'Studio 8'
4- Scroll down to the file that's titled 'Fix for License Error when Launching Studio'- read the instructions and download the patch.
