What do you think about the HP300e series. I have a laptop.Will most lapotops play CD+ and WR+?

You could buy a $40 external USb 2.0 or firewire case and buy an internal DVD-rw and place it in the enclosure and save yourself $75-$150.

For under $150 you can get a 4x dual format burner in a Firewire/USB 2.0 case. Very nice. Of course this assumes you have USB 2.0 or Firewire in your laptop.

Even if he doesn't he probably has a expansion slot type I or II and you can add USB 2.0 through that.
