I have Vegas 4.0 and I want to add a timecode to the finished movie. In Vegas, the timecode only applies to events though, not the whole movie. So when the next scene begins, the timecode resets to 0:00.
Anyone know how I can get around this? Maybe a virtualdub filter? I did a quick internet search and didn't come up with anything.

apply the time code filter to the video bus ...
control shift B
you will see a new video track below a thick line -- that is your video bus
click the "video output FX" icon to he right of the word VIDEO on this track and apply the timecode filter setting you want
OR
TOOLS -> VIDEO -> VIDEO OUTPUT FX"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
you can apply ANY effect to filter to an event , part of an event , a complete or partial track , a time line , a media asset , to the preview window only , to the output only or to a single frame or in some cases - to the effect only ..
most of the above fully keyframe-able also"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
