  1. Hey Guys,
The other night I made a back up of Identity using a fuji dvd +rw. Came out great and my panasonic rp56 recognized it with no problem. So I figured I was good to go. So I tried burning to a dvd +r and it didn't recognize it. I tried to play it on another player..same thing won't play. So I thought dvd x copy express was junk so I decrypted with dvd decrypter and then used dvd shrink to convert it down to one dvd +r. I burned with nero and I am still getting coasters. According the dvd compatibility my panny should play all the dvd formats and i read comments where people are able to. Any help would be appreciated on how to make trimmed down back ups of my movies.

    Thanks..

    Scott

  2. How did you burn the DVD+RW? Did you do the exact same thing with the DVD+R? Make sure your player will play DVD+R, some players will play DVD+RW and not DVD+R and vise versa.

we couldnt get many dvd+r disks to play in this machine -- same as a rp-62 , doesnt play dvd+r well at all ..

no problems with dvd-r and dvd+rw though

the rp62 manual even states it doesnt support dvd+r but it also says it doesnt play svcd - which it does perfectly well .. go figure .

you will just have to try different media or burn a dvd-r

  4. ok thanks...i was wondering about the dvd +rs. I wondered why it played fine with the +rw and not the +r. I am going to try again with the rw and see what happens. I did the process the same for the movies. I used dvd decrypter and did the whole movie. Then I used dvd shrink 3.0 and re-authored the dvd. Then I burned with Nero 6.0 using the dvd-video template. That should work, shouldn't it?
