  2. This player is (from what I've read) a clone of the Apex PD 650.

They look the same, have the same door problem and 'secret menu' code but th Apex plays VCD's but the Bush does not.

    Why ?

Maybe Apex owners can provide a VCD hack for this player?

    Hey rindless
i owe you a beer brother i tried this codefree hack for the Apex PD650
and it worked 1st time ....
When disc is loading continue to quickly press #1 on the remote. The movie begins to play from track #1. There will be a "wrong region" title at the top. This hack does not let you use any remote control keys. If you find something else please post.

Its a pity the Wrong region message stays on the screen during the whole movie but atleast it's playing them
now ive just gotta find a VCD hack
If anyone knows of a better hack for the Apex PD650 please LMK

    Cheers rindless your a star

This brings up version number but i cannot see a hidden menu for changing the region
