  1. I purchased the Tv Tuner WinFast TV2000XP Expert yesterday and installed it on my Windows 2000 Pro computer.

I ran the installation procedure without problems and without error messages. The Tuner works perfectly and even record correctly.
Once I restarted the PC, the Sound Blaster Live 5.1 was uninstalled. I reinstalled and re-plug in the internal aux cable and now it's working fine.

At the same time, after the installation, my DVD player is now not running anymore. I tried to remove it and reinstall it, but still as per now it is not working. To be precise, is the system that is not recognizing it properly.

In fact in [My Computer] the DVD is still showing and the diagnostic show no error, but if I insert any kind of disk (DVD, VCD, Data, Audio) the machine do not recognize the media, and prompt with the message "Please insert a disk in drive E:".

Thsi morning I downloaded the latest driver and installed them, but still same problem.

Is it a known issue? Can you help in any way?

By that, do you mean your DVDrom drive? Or a software player like PowerDVD or WinDVD?

No, I'm sorry. I don't. But now that the question is cleared up, I'm sure someone here can help. :c)

Even with no changes, sometimes my own DVDrom drive will not recognise discs and behaves like yours.

Good luck. :c) If no one answers within a few days, ask again in this same thread and add any new info you can think of that may help.

Try searches for similar problems in the meantime.

    Fingers crossed for you. :c)

If it's a Pioneer A03 , you should check whether
DMA mode got turned on somehow. A03 has a DMA bug.

  6. After I tried EVERYTHING I decided to bring my DVD to a routine check... guess what? Somehow while I was moving my pc to install the card I damaged the DVD! The laser head is not anymore alligned....

The good news is that there is no actual conflict and when the DVD will come back everything will be sorted.

Sorry to have bothered you, and thanks for your valuable help!
    Keep posted!
