  1. I want to copy 'movie only' and 1 extra feature from the dvd menu using DVD2oneX.

I have backup up the movie using dvdbackup and also compressed 'movie only' using DVD2oneX. Can someone help me from here....

i would go about this as follows

    1. locate the .vob for the extra you want from the backed up part of the dvd.
    2. since you want this to be included with the movie only copy you could just drop it into the VIDEO_TS folder naming it so that its in succession with the last .vob name
    ie if last is VTS_01_05.vob
    make the extra VTS_01_06.vob

but now you have to correct the .IFO/.BUP files.
Open VPC, and an app called IFOEDIT.EXE

then do the one that create's IFO's and you have a new .ifo/.bup set for the dvd, and burn

    OR!
you can use sizzle to compile a new dvd image where this time you have added your 1 extra into the list of demuxed .vob's from the MOVIE ONLY copy (though you will probably push the limit of a dvdr unelss your movie only is less than 4.4 gigs by however large the extra .vob is) in Sizzle and just make a new disk image then burn the image.

let me know if any of this makes since

For the future, when you have the original DVD ripped to your HD, open the latest version of DVD2OneX, select the JOIN mode, and all of the programs on the DVD will sort out in the lower part of the window. Click on the first program (movie, extra) you want to appear on your DVD. Then select the audio track(s) for this program. Then on the left, click the PLUS button to add a new program. At this point if the new program/extra is on the same DVD, select another program from the available selections. If the next item to add to your new DVD is on another DVD, select the new DVD by repeating the steps as if you were opening a new VIDEO_TS folder.

The instructions for this are quite clear in the help file. Give it a try.

    Are you sure about this?

I've been experimenting with the "join" feature and I have only been able to add additional "VIDEO_TS" folders to the initial VIDEO_TS folder, not individual .VOB files ...

Yes, for sure it works. I've done it like about 6 times already.

Yes, I've previously read the instructions multiple times before, but they didn't help. Now that you've told me this particular task is possible, re-reading the instructions allows me to decipher what (to me) wasn't clear before.

When joining multiple clips onto one disc, you can navigate to various VIDEO_TS folders and once there, the list of Titles contained therein appear, as it always has, in the DVD2one Title List window. From THERE you can select the individual Titles that you want to be added to the "Join".

Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

Of course, knowing HOW to select individual Titles brings me to the next question: How do I know WHICH of the multiple Titles listed in the DVD2oneX Title List window is the specific one I want to add to the "Join"?

Let's say I want to compile a disk of "The Making Of" featurettes, with each featurette being from the rip of a different DVD. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way from within DVD2oneX to preview any of the Titles listed in the Title List window. If this is correct, how to do I figure out which of the multiple Titles listed in the Title List window is the "Making Of" featurette?

Play the disc/VIDEO_TS folder in Apple DVD Player ... Hit Control - I and note the track and chapter(s) of your featurettes. They almost always correspond to what DVD2OneX shows ... sometimes the authoring of the DVD is such that it gets complicated. Sometimes DVDs lie.

That's a new one for me!

I look forward to giving that a try.
