After buying my 106 burner I installed Nero 6.0.0.0 after that I checked the 'Choose Recorder' screen which told me the burner DOES NOT support buffer underrun protection (clicking on that screen “option>>” button revealed an gray 'buffer underrun' ALREADY MARKED option). Nero infotool proclaims my drive does possess buffer underrun protection.
I upgraded to v6.0.0.15 and Nero 'choose recorder' screen finally confirms my drive has this feature.
Here's the question: even though I setup Nero to utilize this measure (tried automatic and manual configuration) it disregards and does not use this protection !
While burning I never get the famous 'buffer underrun activated' (or something like that) - I always get that line when using my other burner (cdrw) with Nero. On top of that the log file confirms that buffer underrun protection was not used.
I also tried Nero 5.5.10.50 with the same results.
It's extremely important to me to be able to use this feature, for the obvious reasons - Please Advise.

Just wondering if the line that you are seeing in light gray is not saying : Show buffer underrun protection counter at the end of burn process. The Burner underrun counter is working for me on version 5.5.10.32 with that above line in light gray. I don't get that statement but the underrun counter is showing there.
