  1. I have some home moves (no not that type) that I would like to put on dvd. My question is what will a Normal DVD burner read. How do I have to put the files onto the disk. I have ezcd-dvd studio but seemed to fail using it my dvd player just gets a read error.

I do have a ts_video folder what format goes in that. and where does audio go. what is the easyest/best tool to do this.

I am really just trying to create a format that will work on most peoples dvd player.

    Thanks for any help.

Your responce requires about 4 pages. Instead your going to get a dozen people telling you to read the guides.

Read the guides, then ask specific questions.

You going to hit between 50% and 75% of the DVD players out there for compatability. Sorry, that's just the way it is(didn't even bring up +r versus -r versus SVCD/CVD/KVCD/VCD). Generally speaking the cheaper models will play anything, go figure.

  5. If your files aren't in the mpeg2 DVD compliant format then they are first going to have to be encoded to that format. Programs like TMPG or Main Concept can do that for you. Then the mpeg2 file you created needs to be authored. This means creating a navigation file for your DVD player and breaking the mpeg2 file you created into smaller units called VOBs. Something like DVD Lab or Ulead DVD Movie Factory will do this for you. Then you take the empty AUDIO_TS folder and the VIDEO_TS folder created by the authoring program and burn them to disc. Guides on how to do all of this are on the left.
