  1. i have some d/l startrek ds9 episodes thery are dvd.avi files.
some of the files are xvid and some are divx,i was wondering can i put, lets say 5 episodes onto 1 dvd as avi files or do i have to go through the llllllllllllllong process of converting all of them into mpg1 first?

if i have to recode them all to mpg1 first which would you say is the best programme to use to shrink them so i can put say 5 episodes at a time on dvd?

all your help would be gratefully appreciated to whoever responds please.

Yes - as log as they fit on 4.3G dvd, they will work fine on your PC.

BTW. I assume you own the originals of startrek ds9 episodes

    Do NOT give warez.

Do NOT link to warez .

    Do NOT ask for warez.

Do NOT provide information how to obtain warez.

    Do NOT advocate warez.

Warez includes pirate/bootleg movies(movies that are not yet released on DVD or VHS).

Avi files cannot be used on a dvdplayer

    What's being implied is this:

    You've downloaded DivX/XviD files from a Copyrighted DVD source. That's a no-no.

If they were timeshifted from on-air via a capture card, well then we would be in the grey fuzzy place.

DVD Players don't play DivX/XviD files. DVD players may play VCD (which go on CD's), SVCD (also on CD's), and DVD's. It is possible to put 5 hours of material on 1 DVD, but it won't look very good if your not working from the original DVD.
