hi,
50% of all (S)KVCD's still give problems after
going through svcd2dvd: the sound is cracky
(voices are very high in tone(funny), but are in sync......and
theres a continious soft cracking sound in the background)
the strange thing is that dvdlab has no probs with them at all......
which forces me to use my 2nd best program....![]()
This KVCD is getting MORE and MORE popular every day!!!!
(120 mins High Quality SVCD on ONE CD!)........
I tried to put my finger on the reason, but havent gotten that far yet
why svcd2dvd has problems with most of them...........
I keep hoping after every update (keep em coming!) that the problem will be solved.........

Well I've never even seen a kvcd!
If someone wants to create a sample say 10MB+ and ftp it to me I'll see what the score is.SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

sorry chrissy, i didnt mean it like that
well, i think kvcd is a real progress, similar to f.e. xvid for divx.....
well, anyways: i've put up a small (14MB) sample for you.
the quality of this one is not typical for SKVCD, but its average (can
be lots better->dont mind that 4 now....i dont know who made this one)
here's the link:

(ill remove it tomorrow)
Thx up ahead Chrissyboy for all your efforts! it was worth the few bucks
all the way!!! -
getting it now. I shall take a look to see what the issues are with this type. I'll keep you posted.

http://www2.svcd2dvd.com/samples/Kvcd.zip is the result of a default SVCD2DVD run on the mpg you gave me. Whilst i can't understand a word that being said in the sample it looks pretty good to me. Did you try it yourself to see if it exhibited the traits you referred to?
