Wierd Freeze question

I have a couple files *Xvid.avi and *Divx.avi that I have dl. When I load into Vdub-mp3 and scan for freezes it tells me that all of the frames appear to be good. If I preview the files they play about 15 seconds and then the video freezes but the audio continues. They do the exact same thing in TMPGenc. I have encoded numerous movies and have never had this problem before. Here is the kicker, if I open the files in Divx player, they work great.

I am lost can anyone give me a helping hand?

Wierd....try this. Before you encode, extract the audio and encode them separate. Not sure if this'll do anything...but since you've done it many times before one more time wouldnt hurt. Good lucks.
