    Hello People,

Its been a WHILE since I posted here last time...
How are you all been? So anyway, this my problem...

I recently added bigger HD, reinstalled my Windows XP and discovered that my backups do NOT rewind on both of my standalone players. I can jump to next or previous scene/chapter, but I can NOT rewind them.

Once I press either << or >> button, screen freezes for few seconds and then continues to play.
That goes ONLY for DL (or DVD-9). All DVD-5 are fines.

I am using same setup (software) as I used before.

    - DVD Decrypter (rip)
    - DVDFab Decrypter (rip)
    - DVDFab HD Decrypter (rip)
    - DVD Shrink (shrink)
    - Nero Express (burn)

All data is verified after burning. Disks are playable just fine. Except they are not REWINDable.

    What possibly may cause this?
Where should I look? What to check?

    Thank you all in advance,

Suggest you use only DVDDecryptor or ImgBurn for burning DL discs. If you're backing up a DL movie, there's no reason to use anything else, just make an ISO and burn it.

If you have DVDDecryptor, just rip to ISO then burn the ISO. Some newer titles do require AnyDVD or DVDFab to rip.

    Hello People,

I solved my problem by installing new updated firmware for my BenQ DW1640.
Thanks everybody for all of your help,
