  1. Okay here we go. I am using RECORD NOW DX Version 4.60. It came with my Writer which is the SONY DRU510A. I am pretty confident I am doing this correctly but someone might see otherwise and help me out. Oh I am also trying this on a 4x DVD-r by LEGACY. I have used these before with NERO at 4x and haven't had a problem. A have an *.IMG file I got from a family member. He took his wedding and put it on DVD and made a copy of it in this *.IMG format. Well I loaded up the IMG file in Record NOW DX.

    File,
    New Job,
    Global Image or Other Image,
I select the image file, JackandFrancoisWedding.img
THen click Test and if OK burn,
    IT always fails the test!

The error code that immediately follows is...

    Image Jobuntitled1 Terminated With errors
    Error - 10 at Sector 2186384 - Disc write error - Command:2A Sense:03 ASC:0C ASCQ:08

Now I checked the trouble shooting guide and the error code reports this...
    3 0C 08 Write Error - Recovery Failed

Now what does this mean? SHould I try getting another program to burn this *.IMG file or maybe convery it to something else I should be able to burn? Thank you all for reading!

    Please Help me!

  2. Try without testing just Record

Not all the drives support testing

  3. First I would rename the image file to 8.3 format, even thou this is not likely to be the problem some programs (yes even new ones) still have problems with long file names.

Then try burning the image file DVD Decrypter. Choose "Mode | ISO - Write" select the image file and burn.

If that still doesn't work d/load Daemon Tools, and mount the image. This will create a virtual DVD-ROM containing the image. Then re-rip it to the HD and go from there.

    Just a question....

If you burn ok with Nero then why mess around with RecordNow Max?

The correct process is the one that works.

You could do what Vejita-sama suggested and just burn with decrypter.
