    Hi,

I had been using SVCD2DVDMPG with a high success rate until I upgraded to V1.5. Now, DVD's created no longer play in my home player [Philips DVDR-880] They appear to play too fast. Using WinDVD on my PC the DVD's play fine - any ideas? I have tried using different burners and Pan & scan option. I don't think that I have had any success with V1.5 but I am keen to get this working as the MenuMaker looks an excellent new feature!! Created VOB files state PAL for the movie (at 25fps) and NTSC for the Menu?

Has anyone else had these problems?.......and resolved?

    thanks

    PS,

I should add that I am using 1.5.1351.26426 and have tried burning disks with no menus.

I just burned "Black Hawk Down" and the movie appears to be playing at normal speed but the audio is playing at a much higher pitch. The dialogue sounds like The Chipmunks.

    Build: 1.5.1351.26426

I'll try another SVCD now and see how that goes.

Oh, I forgot to mention, just to see if it was a poor rip, I burned CD1 of Black Hawk Down to a regular CDR as an SVCD and it sounded fine. So it must have something to do with SVCD2DVD's audio conversion process.

I have had similar problems to you as well - the audio on some of my conversions sounds like chipmunks on speed being drowned, whereas the video is being distorted on the right hand side... i believe chrissyboy is aware of the problems tho, and is working on a fix

Okay, I just burned Confidence and it turned out great. I'm going to reconvert Blackhawk Down again and see if it works. I was doing some heavy multitasking which may have screwed things up.

Nope. Same problem. The 2nd burn of Blackhawk did the exact same thing. High pitched audio. Some hissing too.

This is a strange problem that is only occuring with certain rips.

  8. Do the mpgs you are using have ac3 audio on them? I was wondering if that would make a difference... I know that I have converted a couple of svcd successfully but there are a handful that just refuse to, coming up with the same sound symptoms as what you have described...
