I've noticed in Pgcedit and Vobblanker that previewing part of the video looks a tad faster than normal. This doesnt matter to me in those programs, but now it's happening in Mpeg2schnitt which is preventing me from making accurate edit points (the audio still plays normally in the edit window - they're demuxed streams). What might be going wrong and how can I remedy?

Probably some problem with your default mpeg2/dvd decoder. You can try install another one or try switch the default decoder with windows decoder checkup utility, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=DE1491AC-0AB6-4990-943D-627E6...displaylang=en

Thanks! I downloaded it, and it shows 6 decoders. Can you tell if there's a conflict going on, or if it all seems fine? Should I uninstall any?
Only one decoder, which is selected, is compatible with both XP and Windows Media 10. The other 5 are mostly incompatible.
SELECTED: CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (CLSVD.ax)(MP10 and MCE Compatible)
Nero DVD Decoder (NeVideo.ax) (MCE Compatible)
    Nero Video Decoder (NeVideo.ax)
    ffdshow Video Decoder (ffdshow.ax)
    ffdshow raw video filter (ffdshow.ax)
    GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder (GplMpgDec2.ax)

I tried selecting the other decoders but no change with the programs. Interestingly, Mpeg2schnitt shows the video-time for a test clip as 1min51sec, when it should be 2min18sec.

I noticed that Windows Media player plays demuxed mpeg2 (no audio) too fast. When I loaded demuxed video/audio into TDA, it recognized the runtime correctly but didn't mux correctly. So in general, it seems to be a problem when I try to play video (no audio) only. I guess noone here has experienced this?

I figured the m2v (and mpeg2 in video-only ware) that were playing too fast have different pics/second than the video that plays normally. Gspot says about 24 pics/s. Normal playing video was about 30 pics/sec. They both are about 30 frames per second.
So it seems the computer is playing the 24 pics at about 30 pics/sec. But how to fix it?
