Hi,
I have Sony DCR-TRV 530 (digital Hi8, NTSC system) tape and want to copy it on DVDs in the way:
- Grab everything to file on disk (best quality).
- Split the file and copy all files to DVDs. (to get best quality on DVDs - 4.7GB is limit, I have heard that 1 hour of digital can be 14GB on disk)
I will keep NTSC system on DVDs.
--------
After that, I want to have same DVDs in PAL system. It means I have to convert them to PAL and copy to DVDs.
--------
What I worry about is: Does it matter what capture card and software I use to get the best quality only for grabbing from Sony DCR-TRV 530?
What software to use to split the file, make titles?
What software to use for the best converting NTSC to PAL?
What capture card do you recommend to do all of that?
-------------
Another option is to do it with standalone DVD recorder.
I am not sure that picture will be better than put grabbed tape on 3 DVDs?
Regards,
Zoran
