    ... or any other editable format. I am working on a project for fun and I would like to put some clips from actual movies into it. So I need to know how to go about converting the VOB files into a format that I can dump into Premiere/Avid, and Maya for editing.

    How about... DVD2AVI
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author
