    i have athlon 2400+ with 512 ram and 80 Gigs HD. while i am capturing or encoding, the cpu usage is almost all the time at 100%. can i control somehow my cpu usage?
    please advice.

    Well, while you are capturing things take as much as they take. When you hit 100% is when you start dropping frames. And as far as encoding, I guess you might be able to control how fast it encodes. But less processor time means longer for the encode to finish.
    Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
