  1. does anyone know of a free or trial of a formating program for dvd+rw? i do have the regestered version of sonic mydvd 4.5 but cannot find a formating program on it, any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

    Try DVDinfo pro in the tools section, very handy and its free

  4. A burning program like Nero Express or Easy CD Creator should have come with your burner. That should have an Erase option.

    Try the link again, I just downloaded DVDinfo pro version ,use the download link about 3/4 of the way down the page to the right. There is now an option to buy a better version, but just click OK when the pop up opens for the adware(free)version.

  6. yep, i reinstalled dvdinfopro adware version and its working again, thanks. sonic mydvd is the program that came with my burner but i cannot find a formatting feature in it + it sucks.

    Hmmm..... thats funny..... when i tried to download it on friday it gave me the standard zip file but when i opened it there was no DvdInfo.exe & it said on the text in the zip file that it was no longer availible free for download but people that paid would still get support ??

    RecordNow absolutely has a format option.

    Right-click the drive, and pick "erase disc".

    Unless, of course, you're talking about making the "gigantic floppy" kind of DVD, in which case ... good luck, because I avoid that shit like the plague that it is.
