  1. Is there a super simple (would even love a no install program single executable) that will simply take some VOB files I throw at it and "make" it into a dvd that I can then just burn and pop in the DVD player ?

It only needs to do 2 things. Split vobs that are too big for me and make the "other" files (vts ifo bup etc..)

No shrinking No authoring really no menu's just DROP vobs onto it and out comes a folder with all the files needed to make it play in a DVD player?

Authoring programs can be cumbersome annoying picky and slow when its something so simple (I hope)

    Does such a beast exist?

Try some of the dvdauthor guis like dvdauthorgui(easiest), dvdstyler, guifordvdauthor or use the command line tool dvdauthor directly.

You could try Ifoedit or ReJig. But no matter what you call it, it's still authoring.

  4. I know its authoring but its not on the same level. IE select project type add content wait for it to process it. goto next select no menu next preview next go and wait wait wait as the bloatware does its thing I have them I use them I like them. but sometimes it would be nice to drop a vob on a program and it just "goes" no next no selections no menus no options just "go" ie in that cause there is no authoring on MY parts its all on the program I was hoping by now maybe something simple that I could stow on a flash card would be available. IFO Edit does not work oddly enough. I did the create IFO's and it seemed to work fine (3.4gb vob file) but it did not split them for me and while it could make the ifo's it puked on them when I tried to alter them (open ifo) to make it autorepeat. (I figured I would just "try" the 3.4gb file but I doubt it will work)

IFO Edit might work though if I find a simple vob splitters (I had to join the vobs to get rid of the retarted structure the author had created instead of 52 chapters he made 53 TITLES grrrr

I was hoping for a one click easy solution is all
