  1. I've just got some 99 min CD-R's and I'm trying to overburn using my Liteon LTR 48125W drive but when I set Nero up as per Nero themselves since I emailed them for instructions, when it starts to burn it goes straight up to 14% and freezes there and when I aborted and checked the disc out it had no info on it so I haven't got a clue as to whats happening. Can someone please help.

    Thanks

    Will

What happens if you turn the overburn feature off, and try to burn as a normal 80min CD?

  3. 8) How big is the file?? On my drive (using Nero 5.xx) or vcdeasy my drive goes to 7% and then halts for quite a bit then it carries on with the burn. Basically initially it is filling up the recorders buffer (16mb) very hi-speed, and also spinning up the disc and writing the lead-in track.. More haste less speed..start the burn and then leave it for 20 mins.. when you come back it (hopefully will be finished.
Re 99min CDR .. I use them but have found that it is only safe to use 96 mins even nero infotool only shows them as 96mins, still a very healthy increase over std 80min.

I think they are only good for 99 minutes when you burn in mode2 where there isn't as much error correction data writen. But I could be wrong.

  5. I have a lite-on drive. You have to set the maximum CD length to 98 minutes and 58 seconds for it to burn to 99 min discs properly. This is with Nero 5.5 though, don't know if that makes any difference.
