Burnt DVD gets stuck

I burnt my first DVD sometime ago and have only just got a standalone DVD player and it worked fine.

I have now tried two thers and think that I followed the instructions using Vitrualdub & TMPGenc okay but when I play these on the standalone DVD player they get stuck.

It isn't at a set time in the movie because when i tried to play them again they sometime stick earlier or at later points in hte film.

Can anyone help please Im going through disks very quickly!

Could it be that as the DVD player plays DVD-R disks and the films are on DVD-RW disks that these need to be finalized??

Only a guess but in the DVD player manual it says DVD-RW disks need to be finalized whatever that means!?
