  1. Here is what I would like to do with DVDs that are captured from VHS tape and burned by Panasonic DMR-E30 recorder (704x480 or 352x480). Problem is that it creates audio in AC-3 format.

    - Get audio and video from DVD (done, don't need help)
    - Edit mpeg2 video with AC-3 sound to cut scenes, move them around and so on.
    - Author result to DVD and burn (done, don't need help)

What would be the best tool for editing my video ? Any sugestions ?

  2. I just put the files on my hard drive then change the file extension to VOB and import them into NeoDVD plus for any editing. The program is pretty basic however it will accept both VOB and AC3.

  3. Does it re-encode ?

    And what about this
    2) take half D1 MPEG-2 but it re-encode to full D1

  5. why not just capture it using the "pause" button
on remote, just catch the scenes you want that
    way?

  6. Because with pause button I cant change order off scenes and also becouse I do not own this recorder. Friend will capture my VHS tapes and I would like to edit them later.

I am not looking for workarounds. I can think of couple by myself. What I need is good editing tool that for mpeg2 (704x480 or 353x480) with AC-3 sound without re-encoding if possible.

    Thanks.
