Here is what I would like to do with DVDs that are captured from VHS tape and burned by Panasonic DMR-E30 recorder (704x480 or 352x480). Problem is that it creates audio in AC-3 format.
- Get audio and video from DVD (done, don't need help)
- Edit mpeg2 video with AC-3 sound to cut scenes, move them around and so on.
- Author result to DVD and burn (done, don't need help)
What would be the best tool for editing my video ? Any sugestions ?

why not just capture it using the "pause" button
on remote, just catch the scenes you want that
way? -
Because with pause button I cant change order off scenes and also becouse I do not own this recorder. Friend will capture my VHS tapes and I would like to edit them later.
I am not looking for workarounds. I can think of couple by myself. What I need is good editing tool that for mpeg2 (704x480 or 353x480) with AC-3 sound without re-encoding if possible.
