  1. Hi Gang, this question is so basic but when a basic procedure fails you begin to question your own understanding....OK...here it is...I used WINmpg to convert a movie (.AVI) to SVCD....using my basic version of Nero ....do I burn my SVCD file as data or do I still need to get the Nero codec / support addon and burn it as a SVCD??

  2. Assuming your conversion is in sync and all that good stuff then you can use Nero to burn it as a SVCD. I have Nero 5.5 and it came with some plug-ins/add-ons, but I don't think the SVCD was an add-on feature. I think that feature is already built into 5.5. You just choose SVCD from the menu and then load your .mpg file and then write to your CD. if you don't have a SVCD option, you may have to get the add-on or upgrade your Nero version.

  3. HiFly,,,Thank you, I will persue your suggestions...in fact I will go reinstall my Nero 5.5 just in case I have the SVCD capabilities in it and dont know it. I recently upgraded here and installed the Nero Express that came with my new burner, In the past Ive only used my burner for saving data files, this video is all new to me... TY again.

  4. Last time I checked the Nero Express didn't have the SVCD option. Use the main Nero program for your burning. I only use the Express one for erasing CDRW's.
