  1. I have a ton of family guy episodes and i want to put them on vcd. A lot have worked but with some nero gives an error saying the stream is not ready for a compliant vcd, i burned it noncompliant and every once in a while the video and audio skip. How do i fix this? these mpegs are the same size as the ones that are compliant but somehow different. Do i have to completely reencode them with tmpeg or can i do something different. I tried doing the multiplex header trick that i have to use when i want to watch svcd's on my dvd player but that doesnt work because the sound is not in sync. When i open the file in tmpeg it says mpeg-1(automatic) is there a way i can fix this without doing a complete reencode? Thanks in advance.

  2. Try loading files to MPEG Tools Merge & Cut section of TMPGEnc, then choose "MPEG-1 VideoCD" instead of "Automatic", choose output filename and click Run.
Possible problem: if some of your files are not VCD/SVCD compliant, it is possible the video put through Tools and burnt will be played corupted in DVD player and you will be wasting your CDs. If the above with MPEG Tools will not work, I would suggest to encode the files to VCD.

  3. thanks for the tip it seems to work fine but unfortuantely there are sync problems as time goes on in the clip. The audio goes ahead of the video is there a way to fix this?
