I have been using tmpgenc video encorder for quite a while. Recently, I decided to try cce sp. My question is how do you load a mpg into cce, since it only recognizes avis. I know cce can be used with dvdrebuilder, to reencode vob files, so there must be a trick to it. Do I need to use avisynth? Or is there some other method? I use Fulcilives method for changing a pal to ntsc, the method works great(thank you Fulci) but, would really like to try it with cce.

Use VirtualDubMod and then frameserve the Mpeg to CCE.

    Don't know how to frameserve?

In the VirtuaDubMod folder there will be a file called "Auxsetup.exe". There will be a button that says "Install Handler".

Install the Handler. Open VirtualDubMod then open the MPEG you wish to frameserve...

Let VDM load the video. Then when the video is loaded, go to File->Start Frame Server.

Save the .vdr file somewhere. This is like a "dummy file" you serve to CCE.

Bring up CCE and drag/drop the .vdr file into the window, this should give you the option to encode it.

Alternate method of frame serving MPGs to CCE. I do this all the time. I'm not saying it's better than driguy's suggestion, just another way to do it.

    1) Open the MPG file in DVD2AVI. Do a "Save Project" (F4) and get a *.d2v file created.
    2) Open the *.d2v file in VFAPI and do the "convert" option.
    3) Feed the converted file from step 2 to CCE.
