  1. Does anyone know if this is possible? Here is the scenerio. I have made a master dvd of 7 vhs tapes and titled each one on my DMR-e50 recorder. I copied the master from my dvd player to the recorder. The copy only picks up one title. I know I could stop and start between programs and that would solve the problem but I just want to start recording and take it out when done. Is there a way to add titles to the copied dvd? thanks

  2. Not sure if this is what you want but here it goes.....you can check the amount of time each title is on the master dvd then set individual timers in the DMR-E50 and add titles seperatly to each one. As soon as the DMR-E50 starts recording hit play on the DVD player which should be in pause mode.
    Hope it helps

  3. If you have a PC DVD burner, you could just clone the master disc that way.. viola, you'll have an exact copy of the master disc.

  4. Unfortunately that is the problem. I do not have a PC DVD burner. Is there any business that makes copies for a reasonable price?

I've previously calculated and adjusted the total time in flexmode (FR), and then just deducted the time already recorded each time I go back to record another (add a few minutes to compensate for the starting and stopping). You'll get separate, selectable programs that way, too.

I personally don't prefer to go over the 2:20 hr mark on a DVD-r due to the resolution drop, but have used ~3 hrs for really long movies/tv shows (in FR) with still acceptable results. Of course, depending on your source material, the drop in quality may not be an issue.
