Conversion: AVI -> MPEG, Freezes at 10%

I'm back.

I got the first half of the movie to burn..... second half doesn't seem to want to go down without a fight.

I've watched the movie all the way through on my computer, so what's the problem now?

Seems to have a fondness for conking out at 10%, then when I go to the TaskManager it says "Not Responding" then maybe "Repsonding" for a second, but will go back to "Not Responding."

What *is* the dilly?

No error message occurs. It simply just stops showing that frame by frame show that it does while it's converting. Remaining time adds up by maybe two more hours than previously an the bytes stop going.

scanned for bad frames with Virtualdub on all 3 files had probs with...no bad frames
