  1. I'm looking into buying a 100 pack of dvd-r media.

I've been using ritek dvd-r media and it seems to be working perfectly on all my stand alone dvd players.

I was wondering if there were any other type of media that would work on my standalone dvd players. I'm mostly gonna be recording dvd movies and wanna make sure they work on most stand alone dvd players.

I know that the cheap princo's don't work on my toshiba sd-1200

But what about the newer 4x princo media?
What about optodisc, samsung, taiyo, DupEZ media?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
I'm looking to save a few bucks. Don't wanna shell out $139 for ritek 4x media. But if I don't have any other choice, I will. THANKS!!

  3. any decent quality should work. its more a matter of the process you use to burn it than the media itself. I've had excellent luck with maxell and sony media.

i would say it is both ... the media makes a LOT of differance if you want max. compatibility ..

  5. I've got a promotional DVD that I need to copy and distribute to potential customers.

Can anyone recommend whether I should use DVD + or - for maximum compatability with stand alone DVD players?

Also, depending on what you recommend, can you specify a brand and a UK source for them - I'm after approx 30 copies.

    Thanks
    Pete
