  1. I've just downloaded an XvidD and the sound appears to be out of sync by about 2-3 seconds. As I'm new to this, have I done something wrong or do I need to do some additional tweeking to the avi?

    Thanks in advance

Does it get progressively off sync, or is it off from the start? If progressive, is it too fast or too slow?

  3. It starts off at about 8 seconds out of sync and after that it's hard to tell -- the entire duration of the Xvid is 1hr 29mins.

The audio is about eight seconds behind the visuals -- not sure if it gets progrssively worse as I have no reference point.

    Thanks for the help

  4. Try this:

Save off your audio. Use some tool like GoldWave to remove however many seconds of audio it's behind, and then save it off to somewhere else. Then, load up your source AVI into NanDub, and for audio source select the editted file. See if it works.

  5. What player are you using? If you are using Windows Media Player try switching to a different player.

I use Media Player and I also have sound that is off. What is the issue with Media Player? It is usually very solid for me.

What player should I use? Will the file work in the DVD player even though the sound is off in Media pLayer?

Sometimes if you skip ahead some software will get desynced. PowerDVD never gets desynced, so try it.
