  1. ok so i am very new to the whole DiVx/ Xvid > DVD process, but having read many many guides I can now quite easily produce decent looking DVDs that play on my toshiba home DVD player, BUT i have a big audio problem - basically when i point Tmpgenc DVD author to my WAV file that i creating GoldWav and start the output process the AUDIO_TS folder is always empty!?!

As i understand it am doing everything correct and the Wav files are good quality 1Gb+ in size, and are reported as:

"Linear PCM, 48000Hz Stereo, 1536 kbps (Stereo 2 Channel)

So what am i doing wrong

  2. The AUDIO_TS folder will always be empty it's not used for DVD but for DVD-Audio. Your audio for your file is in the VOB which of course is in the VIDEO_TS folder. By the way if you encode with TMPEGEnc and use mpeg layer II audio it dosn't output in bitstream. You'll only find this if you connect your DVD player to a cinam amp then you'll have to change the settings on your DVD player to audio PCM not bitstream (note* I don't mean LPCM) use dolby digital instead for better compatabilty. You'll still hear sound through a tv whichever format you go for
