  1. Interested in hearing from people who capture video using the DIVX codec. What are your settings-bitrate, etc? Thanks.

  2. My settings are very simple..... Quality based 90-92%, encoder speed/quality at normal.... no deinterlace and no postprocessing. Audio as WAV 44 KHz stereo (172 KB/s) Do NOT capture as MP3!!

640x480 capture with zero frames dropped in an Athlon XP 1700+, 384 MB DDR 2100, ECS K7S5A (Sis 735) and Sapphire Atlantis (Radeon 9000) VIVO.

Edit: I capture as YUY2, not YUV12 or RGB. I wonder if RGB would be better.

MP3 audio can get out of sync easily, while WAV will keep the audio in perfect sync with the video even in 2 hours captures...... You convert the audio to MP3 after the file is in the computer
