  2. As for audio streams (which I think is what you are talking about), I believe that there are certain programs out there that can help you record what is beign streamed. And chances are if you watched a video on the internet, then its in your Temporary Internet Files folder. To find this folder on Win98: C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Inter....... On XP you can find it in yoru Local Settings folder.

    Search Comp PM
    For Audio
All Sound Recorder - can record whats "playing"even if its a .WAV file
    or
Total Recorder - same deal, records while playing

    For Picture and sound
    Hypercam
    or Snagit
RECORDS both sound and picture from a defined area (defined by you) on the desktop..Real time...
both programs require a 1GHZ or higher for a 30 fps, 720x480 frame.. If you just want VCD size, you can do with less of a system

    For Picture only
    FRAPS

For EASY RECORDING: I use the next computer over..that is if you don't mind going thru an analog generation and have 2 MACHINES IDLE, you use the VIDEO OUT that shows a clone of your desktop to supply VIDEO to a capture card in a another machine entirely.. and capture to the other machine, including sound output from your sond card

RipCast Streaming Audio Ripper can be used to record streamed audio in mp3 format.

  6. Have a look into StreamBox VCR

It's very good at recording all sorts of streaming content.

(which I don't think is Warez, although I have a feeling it is no longer developed/supported because of legal issues with Real in the USA)

    try google!

    cheers,
