  1. hi all im using tmpegnc the latest version and im trying to make some dvd mpegs ready for burning etc. when i start tmpeg and the wizard loads up, i select pal and mpeg 1 layer 2 audio. when i go to step 2 i browse vie the video and select my mpeg and it should automatically fill in the audio!! but it doesnt!! so ive de mux'ed the the mpeg and loaded them manually in to tmpegnc and ok yeah it all joined fine and the reso was fine in the film but the sound was out of sync by about 20 secs. is there something im doing wrong? i need ur helps peeps

  2. seems nothing's wrong, but:
    1) what kind of video are you giving to tmpgenc? (avi or mpg, codec, etc.)
    2) when wizard pops up, in step 1 it has the choice for pal dvd and that's all, no choice for audio quality. this sounds a bit strange.

  3. im using mpegs. and yes there another option for mpeg1 mpegs 2 etc if u think about it there has to be cause ur making a dvd!!

    not really....DVD is MPEG-2, NOT any other MPEG.

    anywayz, what is your source .mpg?? is it VCD MPEG-1 or SVCD MPEG-2?

    there are guides here to help you make the conversion, but you need to know what type of .mpg file you have first.

  6. my bad..forgot about MPEG-1 support...

    however, will this VCD-DVD be as dvd player compatible as a DVD with MPEG-2...?

  7. Yes, as long as the DVD specs are followed. One thing to note the audio has to be 48khz not 44.1khz
