    why dont you give DVD2DVD-R a try?

    the freezing could be due to bad media towards the outer edge of the disc

  3. Maybe try ripping it to a VIDEO_TS folder using SmartRipper then use DVDshrink to re-author the movie only and re-encode the movie only to fit a single DVDR. This has worked for me with problem DVD's.

  4. I'm using FuJI DVD-R never had a problem with it until not. Right now I'm doing a full disc back with dvd2one if that does not work I might try DVD2DVD-R

    @spiderman2k1,

  6. I made a full working back up. Just do a FULL DISC back up. At the end of the credit's of Saving Private Ryan. Steven Spielberg talk's about Normandy Dday. In movie back only it stops at the credit's and can only be played back on the PC from the hard drive right. In full disc mode after the credit's. Steven Spielberg talk's about Normandy Dday. This part is need for the movie to work right in DVD players

  7. I made a perfect backup of Saving Private Ryan using DVD2One in Movie Only. Had no problems and it plays fine in my standalone dvd player.

    I'm getting a bad impression of Fuji media. They are decent media, but the slightest bit of dirtiness, or burning a WEE bit too fast, can mess them up bigtime.

    CloneDVD has its own burning engine, and I think the Fuji media are really best burned at 2x instead of 2.4x - I have been burning with RecordNow instead, which supports 2x, and these media are much happier.

    Next time I'm getting Verbatim or Ritek.
