  1. I downloaded VideoStudio last night and tried to capture some video, but got an error message that the capture device was not found/unusable.

I'm able to capture with VirtualVCR, so I believe everything is installed and working properly.

Anybody else having this problem? If not, what drivers are you using?

    Thanks.

I have the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250 PCI card and can not capture with any other capture program other then the WinTV2000 capture software that came with the card. I have downloaded the latest drivers and codecs from Hauppauge with the same results. Although I have not tried Virtual Dub, believe me I have tried them all. I find the WinTV2000 capture very good with many settings for DVD. I then have to import the capture into Studio, DVD Movie Factory, etc. and go from there.

The apps your trying to run like Virtual Dub, DVD Movie Factory, etc and min other 3rdparty tools only support YUV/RGB streaming aka AVI which only reg TV card has which dosen't do any Hardware Encoding like WinTV-PVR 250/350.
