here is an example
does anyone know what codec is causing this? or what codec i need to get to get rid of thisthank you

have you tried turning off mouse shadows? Also try using windows standard cursors, nothing with colors or complex images.

thanks for replying
but thats not the case tho...sometimes it goes away too but i just dont know when it goes away and when it goes away im able to do fullscreen videocaps (using printscreen) but normally when i press that when the shadow is there the whole video part is black -
try using the old version of windows media player, found in
c:\program files\windows media player\mplayer2.exe
i find it much better than the cack newer ones, and it seems to handle fullscreen video better. the mouse should disappear after about 2 seconds of inactivity.
another issue may be hardware acceleration upsetting things.
