  1. Hi , resently I obtained a Xvid movie. I have tryed to edit it and convert it to VCD. I tryed using VirtualDub, it came up with an error saying that the file had an improper VBR Audio encoding in the source Avi file. It stated that it will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatilbility. This may introduce up to 13032 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable decompress the audio to a wav file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (Bitrate: 130.7 + - 13.2kbps). I decompressed the audio with VirtualDub and tryed to convert the two files to an mpg using TMPGEnc. This then told me "Write error occurred at address 77fcb7ae of module 'ntdll.dll' with 00000000". I don't know what else to try can anybody please help me. Thanks

scan the file for videeo errors in vdub. after scan do a direct stream copy of the audio and video. save as a new avi. open the new avi in vdub check to see if the audio and video are in sync. use the many guides to your left on how to fix vbr audio, or do a forum search for vbr.
