I have DVDSPro installed, and Quicktime pro. The qtmpegexport.component is in system/library/quicktime, but when I try to export from qt to mpeg2 I find that mpeg2 is not an export option.
Very odd. The component shows up as a folder, not a package like the rest of the qt components - could that have something to do with it?

it will show up as a folder.
Try re-installing the package and then run software update. If you are using Quicktime 6.3, you need to update the MPEG2 component by way of the software update.
