  1. I have question for you guys. I have an .mpg file that have been segmented into several parts. I would like to re-assemble them into one file - how can this be done? Because it's .mpg, I can't use QT pro to copy and paste the parts and exporting as a .mov loses the audio. What are my options?

    Thanks!

  6. use mpgtx. drag all the parts into the window, make sure they are in the proper order and hit "join".

mpgtx will do the job. Just open it, and go to FILE OPEN, and choose your 1st .mpeg. repeat the FILE OPEN until you have them selected (go 2nd, then 3rd, and so on)

the order you open them is the order they will be joined.

Then, clicn JOIN. SPLIT is the default option.
    then click START.

You will get a file called CHUNK.mpg which is in the same location as the 1st .mpeg file.

  9. I tried mpgtx and it seemed to work until I tried played the "chunk" file. The file size said it was 132MB, but it only played 2 frames of video...Maybe I set it up wrong - I dragged and dropped all the pieces, maybe i should try importing one at a time. I'll mess around with it. Thanks for the suggestions!
