    Hi!

    I am wondering why I can't capture from rental VHS and DVD! I have no problem capturing from TV and VCD, but when I try to capture from rental VHS and DVD, problem appeared. After I captured from these kinds of media, when I play the recorded clip, around 3/4 of the screen became white. I was wondering is it because there are some protection on these rental VHS's and DVDs so i can't record directly?

    Yes. That is the Macrovision protection built into rental VHS tapes and most DVDs.

    maybe you should buy your own copy instead of dubbing rentals.

    the "No Warez" policy on this board includes copying rentals.
