  1. Googlegear claims the A06 comes w/ DVD Workshop. According to Pioneer the Drive (USA) come with:
    VIDEOSTUDIO 7SE DVD
    DVD MOVIEFACTORY 2SE
    DVD PICTURESHOW 2SE
    DVD PLAYER
    NERO EXPRESS 5.5.10.32
    SAI WRITEDVD!

Anybody out there in the US get a drive w/ DVD Workshop. Please let me know where. Thx.

  2. I would be surprised if it came with a full version of DVD workshop, that software aint cheap. Almost $300 for the non ac3 version and almost $500 for the ac3 version.

  3. Yeah, it's Workshop Lite or whatever the heck they call it (I didn't even bother to install it, as Ulead's products suck big time).

If you *really* want I'll check at lunch to be sure exactly what it's called, and what the limitations are (but I won't install it -- not even to check :>)

  4. Got word from Googlegear. They say it doesn't come w/ ANY software. Checked the site today and they took down any mention of bundled software. Guess that's one way to answer my question.

What do you all out there suggest for a newbie, as far as authoring software goes? DVD Workshop seems to work well for me, at least the bit of time i've been playing w/ the demo. Simple is good, unless there are too many limitations. Trying to watch my pennies. You know the story. Thx.

  6. DVDLab by far is the most powerful, most inexpensive ($80) piece of authoring software to come along in a long time. Can do nearly everything the big boys (Maestro) can, at a fraction of the cost.

Play with the fully functional 30 day free trial and then make up your mind.
