I have a JVC 4GB hard disk camcorder GZ-MG-21U camcorder, the software is Cyberlink, Power Producer, Director and DVD.
For editing, I like Windows Movie Maker, but JVC uses the Mov/MPEG 2 file types, so it has to be changed to AVI for Windows MM, where I edit, then send to Power Producer.
I have on D: Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616T. On E: HP DVD writer 940d3h23 with Light Scribe, this has the Nero software.
This has all been very confusing to learn how to get the video files to disc, but I sucessfully burned onto Sony DVD-RW and have used TDK-R, but when I tried to finalize these DVD's to play on other's DVD players in Power Producer under Disc Utilities, it says This disc type is not supported.
Is it because it is a HP writer, and they want you to use HP DVD's? Because HP let me burn onto the Sony and TDK discs from Power Producer.
Also, I read your opinion on the Nero programs and that you like ImgBurn better. I just like the Light Scribe features, I don't really like Nero's set-up.
I have read a lot of your posts, and things on the left, but I'm not always sure I'm interpreting or applying the information correctly.
    I'd appreciate your feedback.

To make DVD playable on DVD player you need VIDEO_TS folder to burn.
Power Producer will output those files and burn DVD.
If you want to use ImgBurn, you output from Power Producer to hard drive and burn created Video_TS folder.
You do not have to worry about finalizing, because any DVD burning software will do it automatically.
