  1. Hi,

    I got 5 Datawrite DVD+R 2.4x the other day.

I burnt a movie to the disc to test it out. It plays fine in my computer, but not in a playstation 2 or my set top player, nor my friends.

    What the hell is wrong????/

    Thanks

    John

I USE DATAWRITE +R ALL THE TIME AND THEY PLAY PERFECT ON STAND ALONE PLAYERS AND PS2 MUST BE THE WAY YOUR RECORDING THEM. TRY NERO 5.5.10.28 USING DVD VIDEO CHECK ISO LEVEL 1 AND BELOW ISO 9660 UNCHECK EVERY THING ELSE. SELECT ALL YOUR FILES AND CUT AND PEST YOUR FILES TO THE RED VIDEO - TS FOLDER. BEFORE BURNING TICK BOOK TYPE DVD-ROM AND BURN 8)

  3. I got some Datawrite DVD+R discs a while back and they were the worst I ever tried. NONE of the 20 discs I tried worked. They burned fine but when viewed on any stand-alone player they started to break up near the end of the disc. tha ones I had where manufactured by Pro disc.

Do you have a Sony DRU-500A by any chance? I had some Bulkpaq and Nashua DVD+R discs made by Prodisc, and I couldn't burn one successfully! They ALL failed at 83% during the burn, no matter which firmware I used

  5. I do have the Sony DRU-500AX, but I haven't tried to burn these discs with it yet. The non-working discs I made where all burned with my old burner, a Ricoh MP5125A so I can tell you it is not the burner it is the shitty manufactures fault...

NEVER BUY ANY PRODISC MADE MEDIA

  6. I've just bought some Nashua branded DVD-R (it says made of MAKROLON on the front). Appears to burn okay (2x) but DVD playback starts to break up at random points on playback (PC and standalone DVD player).

    I won't touch these again - and yes, I've got a Sony DRU-500
