Philips - New Firmware - 7.22

Do you know what this firmware does (that the old 7.12 didn't do)?

Maybe you can now FF/RW the S(VCD)`s.

I have a little Problem with the Upgrade.

The same Problem occurs with the original Upgrade CD.

Maybe it`s because i switched my Player Codefree with my One For All.

I put in the Disc.

It counts DRA 1, DRA 2, DRA 3, DRA 4

Then the Display shows "DLA ERROR" -> 2 Times

The Player shuts down himself

Then the Player goes on alone

The Display shows "DLA 1"

And the Done

So i still have the same Firmware on it (7.12).

Anybody got the same Problem and know`s how to solve it?

I got the same error philips dvd 711 can't even upgrade to 7.12.
tried it on 2 philips dvd 711 2x dla error.
Firmware orig from philips on cd send to me by mail.

hi

i have upgrade my Philips DVD 711 from firmware 7.12 to 7.22
i have used a CDRW and i burned the CDRW with EASY CD CREATOR
there was no problem while upgrading.

i have tested to FF/RW an SVCD made by myself, the problem subsist.

I upgraded to 7.12 on my Philips 711 and I CAN FF/RW SVCD's at 4X and 32X speed. Kicks right back in and plays when I press play.

I use Tmpgenc12a and VCDimager and burn with CDRwin.

I see no reason to go to 7.22 unless someone finds some cool new feature.

I have a phillips 711 , try to opgrade firmware 7.03 did not work, like to make xvcd , what settigs do i need .
anybody ho like to help is welcome.

What is the differences between version 7.22 and 7.12?
Is there any advantages/ risks in updating?
